The Bracknell Regeneration Partnership (BRP) is pleased to announce that Princess Square car park has been awarded its thirteenth Park Mark award for Safer Parking.
The Park Mark is an official acknowledgement of a Safer Parking facility that is awarded by the Associations of Chief Police Officers. Car parks are assessed to ensure that they are properly maintained and managed, ensuring that measures are in place to safeguard people and their cars.
Sam Buckley, Deputy Operations Manager at BRP, says: “We are delighted to receive this recognition of our commitment to make Bracknell town centre a secure and pleasant place to visit.”

As part of this summer's Bracknell Food and Drink Festival 2012, supported by Waitrose, BRP are running a 'Design a Pizza' competition for 4-11 year olds.
Entries will be judged by a panel of people involved in the Festival on a range of criteria including originality and creative use of ingredients. The winning pizza will be chosen by special guest on the day TV chef Lesley Waters and the winners will get their pizza made at the event. They will also receive a goody bag of ingredients to make their pizza at home, a healthy eating recipe book and £50 of shopping vouchers.

Sainsbury's in Princess Square are in their fourth year of having a charity partner and voting for who the next Charity of the Year should be started on the 11th of May and finishes on May 23rd.
The winning charity will be announced in June and they will receive a whole year of support and fundraising from both the store and Sainsbury's customers. Sainsbury's want to pick a charity that the local community are really interested in and one that is close to their hearts so the whole community can really benefit.

More than one thousand people visited Bracknell town centre on Bank Holiday Monday to see Peppa Pig in an event organised and funded by Bracknell Regeneration Partnership. Over several sessions between 12pm and 4pm, hundreds of children got to see Peppa Pig in Princess Square. The Heart FM Angels were also on hand to provide face painting, hand out flags and entertain the crowds. Romans Estate Agents, currently based in The Broadway, is continuing the regeneration to the North of the town centre with the building of a new 1,700 square foot branch office.
The construction team are already on site at The Ring, opposite The Old Manor House public house, and it is hoped that the new building, will be completed by November 2012.

Thousands of people gathered in Charles Square on Sunday night to see pop star Lemar perform on stage before switching on the Christmas lights.
The day had already seen a range of entertainment from groups including Street Feet Dance, School of the Arts, Artemis Performing Arts School, the Tilehurst and Caversham Rock Choir and Glee Club UK before Lemar took to the stage at 5.00pm to perform four tracks.

Hundreds of people lined the route as Santa and Cinderella from the South Hill Park pantomime paraded through the town centre on Saturday morning in a fairy tale horse-drawn carriage to mark Santa’s arrival in Bracknell.
Santa was escorted to the first floor toy department of Bentalls to open his grotto, where he will be until Friday 23rd December, 11.00am-5.00pm Monday to Saturday and 10.00am-4.00pm on Sundays.
