MUSIC AND DANCE MANIA HITS BRACKNELL TOWN CENTRE

This summer, Bracknell Regeneration Partnership will be playing host to a huge variety of music and dance themed events. Every Saturday throughout the summer, areas in and around Bracknell town centre will be transformed by performances from singers, actors, percussionists and much, much more.
Children and adults from around Berkshire should make sure they visit Bracknell and experience the music and dance extravaganza.
The action packed calendar of events will be kicking off on Saturday July 24, with a vast selection of shows including:
• Comedy performance artists The Invisible Men in Charles Square will get the crowds going with their visual trickery and fast moving gags from at 11.10am – 11.40am and 1pm – 1.30pm.
• Musical Ruth will whirl through town centre on her motorized piano singing her own renditions of Let It Be, Amazing Grace and other Gospel hits. She will set off from Charles Square at 11.40-12.10am, 1pm-1.30pm and 2.30-3pm.
• The Drumrunners, a fantastic street band will be performing popular tunes in The Market from 12.15pm - 12.45pm and then again in Charles Square from 2.15pm – 2.45pm. The Drumrunners will also be running workshops for budding young artists at Headspace, a great opportunity to try out the South African Vuvuzela as well as other percussion and brass instruments.
• Bringing even more excitement to Charles Square, Balai Mechanic by Jump Ship Rat will be exciting visitors from 12 noon – 1pm and then again from 2pm – 3pm, with its Heath Robinson styled contraption that explodes into musical, rhythmic life.
• Children and adults alike will be excited by the world’s first pop up theatrical aquarium between 11am and 12 noon and again from 1pm – 2pm on The Green. Look out for tap dancing crayfish and a chorus line of prawns, perfect for children of all ages.
